Madasari Beach is located in Cimerak District, Pangandaran Regency, about 41 km from the Marlin Pangandaran Roundabout to the west past the tourist destinations Batuhiu Beach and Green Canyon. Getting to this destination is quite easy, there are lots of directions along the way and the mode of transportation that you can use to get to this location is a rental or private vehicle with a travel time of about 1 hour.

The legend that is believed by residents around the coast, is about the Sembrani horse. This beach is said to have been used as a stopover for Sultan Agung’s Sembrani horse. The flying horse escaped from its stable in Mataram Kingdom. The name Madasari comes from the word Madang Nyari.
Formerly Madasari was a wilderness. However, after becoming a village, one of the immigrants from the Bugis tribe named Daeng Danto changed the name Madang Nyari to Madasari. Mada means food and Sari means Taste, so it means food that tastes good.
It is said that Sultan Agung has a horse sembrani. Sembrani horses only exist in the land of Mecca. So when Sultan Agung held Friday prayers in Mecca, when he came home from prayer he brought a Sembrani horse. Furthermore, it is said that the sembrani horse escaped from the stable. The flying horse headed to the south coast of the island of Java, namely Madasari. It is said that the royal horse of the Kingdom had intercourse with the mare kept by the residents. Until now, the average Madasari people keep only mares.
Madasari has a very beautiful panorama with a wide stretch of sand stretching along the coast. The most unique thing on this beach is the existence of coral reefs that form a group of small islands that present extraordinary views with beautiful coral rocks and are an attraction for tourists, especially photography lovers. These islands have their own names, including, Sitting Island, Sodong Gede Island, Gedogan Island, Karang Seugeuh Island, Batuleuit Island, Karang Tambaga Island, Kalapa Satangkal Island, Manggar Island, Cangkore Island, Bale Kambang Island, and Pulau Legok Bancet.
